TIPS AJAR ANAK MEMBACA SUKUKATA

Assalamualaikum...untuk entry kali ni, just wanna share with all the mothers..tips untuk mengajar anak membaca sukukata. Yes it's true that tanggungjawab seorang guru untuk ajar membaca TAPI please remind yourself that pembelajaran itu bermula dari rumah dan seorang ibu juga sebenarnya mampu mengajar anaknya membaca walaupun anak itu belum ke tadika or prasekolah..

Here are the tips:

  1. Jangan gunakan kaedah mengeja setiap suku kata (cth: B, A, ba)
  2. Sebaliknya gunakan kaedah fonetik dimana setiap suku kata terus dibunyikan dengan menggabungkan bunyi konsonan dan vokal (cth: ba, ca, da)
  3. Pastikan jari anak anda menunjuk pada setiap suku kata yang dibaca.
  4. Menunjuk dengan jari dari arah kiri ke kanan penting untuk melatih koordinasi mata sewaktu membaca . 
  5. Berikan masa untuk mereka berfikir.
  6. Berikan semangat bagi setiap kesusahan. Berikan pujian bagi setiap pencapaian.

ASAS PENGAJIAN KURIKULUM DAN MODEL PRASEKOLAH

Prasekolah merupakan tempoh pembelajaran yang menyeronokkan bagi kanak-kanak kerana semasa dalam tempoh inilah kanak-kanak akan mula mempelajari sesuatu yang akan digunakan sepanjang hidupnya. Walaupun begitu, kaedah pembelajaran prasekolah haruslah bersifat permainan dan melibatkan kanak-kanak tersebut secara aktif. Ini bagi menarik minat kanak-kanak untuk terus belajar tanpa rasa jemu.

Di bawah ini terdapat serba sedikit maklumat model pengajaran di peringkat prasekolah. Maklumat penuh mengenai asas pengajian kurikulum dan model prasekolah boleh didapati di SINI.

Secara umumnya, objektif Kurikulum Prasekolah Kebangsaan menyediakan peluang kepada murid berumur 4-6 untuk mencapai objektif berikut:

HOMESCHOOLING...


Homeschooling basically is a kind of teaching method which is parents themselves will educate their children at home. Since education in Korea is quite pricey for our kids (and since the company did not sponsor the school fee) thus we decided to start homeschooling our kids. The ideas came from Kak Ida, an awesome mom..hehehe. Since Nabila is 5 years old now so we dedicate this homeschool especially for her. At the same time, it's really a good exposure for Bella since she is 3 and Sofia and Aman who are 2 years old. Putting into action, Kak Ida is Reading Teacher, Zai is Islamic Edu Teacher and me as Maths Teacher. By the way, the kids really enjoying themselves and as mothers, we enjoy teaching them too!!!

Here are some references on what activities that can be done during homeschooling. This info is copy paste from Mr. Google...


Understanding Numbers
Numbers are used to describe quantities, to count, and to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Understanding numbers and knowing how to combine them to solve problems helps us in all areas of math.

Count everything!
Count toys, kitchen utensils, and items of clothing as they come out of the dryer. Help your child count by pointing to and moving the objects as you say each number out loud. Count forwards and backwards from different starting places. Use household items to practise adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.

Sing counting songs and read counting books
Every culture has counting songs, such as "One, Two, Buckle My Shoe" and "Ten Little Monkeys", which make learning to count – both forwards and backwards – fun for children. Counting books also capture children’s imagination, by using pictures of interesting things to count and to add.

Discover the many ways in which numbers are used inside and outside your home. 
Take your child on a "number hunt" in your home or neighbourhood. Point out how numbers are used on the television set, the microwave, and the telephone. Spot numbers in books and newspapers. Look for numbers on signs in your neighbourhood. Encourage your child to tell you whenever he or she discovers a new way in which numbers are used.

Ask your child to help you solve everyday number problems.
"We need six tomatoes to make our sauce for dinner, and we have only two. How many more do we need to buy?" "You have two pillows in your room and your sister has two pillows in her room. How many pillowcases do I need to wash?" "Two guests are coming to eat dinner with us. How many plates will we need?"

Practise "skip counting".
Together, count by 2’s and 5’s. Ask your child how far he or she can count by 10’s. Roll two dice, one to determine a starting number and the other to determine the counting interval. Ask your child to try counting backwards from 10, 20, or even 100.

Make up games using dice and playing cards
Try rolling dice and adding or multiplying the numbers that come up. Add up the totals until you reach a target number, like 100. Play the game backwards to practise subtraction.

Play "Broken Calculator". 
Pretend that the number 8 key on the calculator is broken. Without it, how can you make the number 18 appear on the screen? (Sample answers: 20 – 2, 15 + 3). Ask other questions using different "broken" keys.

Understanding Measurements
We use measurements to determine the height, length, and width of objects, as well as the area they cover, the volume they hold, and other characteristics. We measure time and money. Developing the ability to estimate and to measure accurately takes time and practice.

Measure items found around the house. 
Have your child find objects that are longer or shorter than a shoe or a string or a ruler. Together, use a shoe to measure the length of a floor mat. Fill different containers with sand in a sandbox or with water in the bath, and see which containers hold more and which hold less.

Estimate everything! 
Estimate the number of steps from your front door to the edge of your yard, then walk with your child to find out how many there really are, counting steps as you go. Estimate how many bags of milk your family will need for the week. At the end of the week, count up the number of bags you actually used. Estimate the time needed for a trip. If the trip is expected to take 25 minutes, when do you have to leave? Have your child count the number of stars he or she can draw in a minute. Ask if the total is more or less than your child thought it would be.

Compare and organize household items.
Take cereal boxes or cans of vegetables from the cupboard and have your child line them up from tallest to shortest.

Talk about time. 
Ask your child to check the time on the clock when he or she goes to school, eats meals, and goes to bed. Together, look up the time of a television program your child wants to watch. Record on a calendar the time of your child’s favourite away-fromhome activity.

Keep a record of the daily temperature outside and of your child’s outdoor activities. After a few weeks, ask your child to look at the record and see how the temperature affected his or her activities.

Include your child in activities that involve measurements. Have your child measure the ingredients in a recipe, or the length of a bookshelf you plan to build. Trade equal amounts of money. How many pennies do you need to trade for a nickel? for a dime?

Understanding Geometry
The ability to identify and describe shapes, sizes, positions, directions, and movement is important in many work situations, such as construction and design, as well as in creating and understanding art. Becoming familiar with shapes and spatial relationships in their environment will help children grasp the principles of geometry in later grades.

Identify shapes and sizes. When playing with your child, identify things by their shape and size: "Pass me a sugar cube." "Take the largest cereal box out of the cupboard."

Build structures using blocks or old boxes. Discuss the need to build a strong base. Ask your child which shapes stack easily, and why.

Hide a toy and use directional language to help your child find it. Give clues using words and phrases such as up, down, over, under, between, through, and on top of.

Play "I spy", looking for different shapes. "I spy something that is round." "I spy something that is rectangular." "I spy something that looks like a cone."

Ask your child to draw a picture of your street, neighbourhood, or town. Talk about where your home is in relation to a neighbour’s home or the corner store. Use directional words and phrases like beside and to the right of.

Go on a "shape hunt". Have your child look for as many circles, squares, triangles, and rectangles as he or she can find in the home or outside. Do the same with threedimensional objects like cubes, cones, spheres, and cylinders. Point out that street signs come in different shapes and that a pop can is like a cylinder.

Understanding Patterns
We find patterns in nature, art, music, and literature. We also find them in numbers. Patterns are at the very heart of math. The ability to recognize patterns helps us to make predictions based on our observations. Understanding patterns helps prepare children for the study of algebra in later grades.

Look for patterns in storybooks and songs.
Many children’s books and songs repeat lines or passages in predictable ways, allowing children to recognize and predict the patterns.

Create patterns using your body.
Clap and stomp your foot in a particular sequence (clap, clap, stomp), have your child repeat the same sequence, then create variations of the pattern together. Teach your child simple dances that include repeated steps and movements.

Hunt for patterns around your house and your neighbourhood.
Your child will find patterns in clothing, in wallpaper, in tiles, on toys, and among trees and flowers in the park. Encourage your child to describe the patterns found. Try to identify the features of the pattern that are repeated.

Use household items to create and extend patterns. Lay down a row of spoons pointing in different directions in a particular pattern (up, up, down, up, up, down) and ask your child to extend the pattern.

Explore patterns created by numbers. 
Write the numbers from 1 to 100 in rows of 10 (1 to 10 in the first row, 11 to 20 in the second row, and so on). Note the patterns that you see when you look up and down, across, or diagonally. Pick out all the numbers that contain a 2 or a 7.

Understanding and managing data
Every day we are presented with a vast amount of information, much of it involving numbers. Learning to collect, organize, and interpret data at an early age will help children develop the ability to manage information and make sound decisions in the future.

Sort household items.
As your child tidies up toys or clothing, discuss which items should go together and why. Show your child how you organize food items in the fridge – fruit together, vegetables together, drinks on one shelf, condiments on another. Encourage your child to sort other household items – crayons by colour, cutlery by type or shape, coins by denomination.

Make a weather graph.
Have your child draw pictures on a calendar to record each day’s weather. At the end of the month, make a picture graph showing how many sunny days, cloudy days, and rainy days there were in that month.

Make a food chart.
Create a chart to record the number of apples, oranges, bananas, and other fruit your family eats each day. At the end of the month, have your child count the number of pieces of each type of fruit eaten. Ask how many more of one kind of fruit were eaten than of another. What was your family’s least favourite fruit that month?

Talk about the likelihood of events.
Have your child draw pictures of things your family does often, things you do sometimes, and things you never do. Discuss why you never do some things (swim outside in January). Ask your child if it’s likely to rain today. Is it likely that a pig will fly through the kitchen window?

AIDILFITRI DI PERANTAUAN...


Assalamualaikum...tajuk berita kita pada hari ini ialah..hehehhe..saja je..alhamdulillah aidilfitri pada tahun ini disambut meriah walaupun kami berada jauh daripada keluarga dan sanak saudara. Nasib baik ada kawan-kawan yang bersama-sama meraikan hari yang penuh kemuliaan ini.

Sambutan hari raya di Okpo ini agak meriah kerana company hubby telah men"set up" majlis sambutan Aidilfitri di sebuah dewan di sini. Walaupun bersederhana namun kemeriahan Syawal tetap dirasai sama seperti di Malaysia. BISKUT RAYA + RENDANG + KUAH KACANG + NASI IMPIT = SEMUA KENA BUAT SENDIRI..

Assalamualaikum..wah panjang betul title entry ni..hihi. Tahun ini agak menyedihkan sebab tak dapat beli "kuih tunjuk"..wawawa.. Ha, apa kuih tunjuk tu? Kalo nk tau kuih tunjuk tu maksudnya tunjuk je nak kuih mana then orang jual tu bungkuskan pastu bayar je lah..hehehe. 

Disebabkan tahun ni beraya di perantauan maka tak dapatlah nak makan kuih tunjuk..huhu.. Maka bagi memujuk hati ini so aku pun buat la sendiri biskut raya tahun ni. Dan orang kata kalau tiada rendang maka tiadalah raya (eh ada ka peribahasa ni), maka terhasillah rendang daging, kuah kacang dan homemade nasi impit.

Bermula dari atas sebelah kiri: Kulit Popia bersalut Cornflakes, White Choc Almond London, Dark Choc Almond London, Kuah Kacang, Rendang Daging, Semperit susu, Honey Cornflakes, Mazola, Semperit dan Tat Strawberi.
Now here are the recipes:

~~ ALMOND LONDON ~~



  • 250 gm butter
  • 9 oz / 2 1/2 cawan tepung gandum ( 250 gm )
  • 1 oz / 1/2 cawan nestum ( 50 gm ) ( di kisar halus )
  • 3 oz / 1 cawan tepung jagung ( 100 gm )
  • 4 oz / 1 cawan gula aising ( 100 gm )
  • 1 biji kuning telor
  •  Badam biji di panggang secukupnya
  • Badam cincang untuk hiasan
  • Coklat masakan secukupnya
  •  Mangkuk kertas/ paper cup
  • Sedikit minyak jagung
Cara-cara
1.     Pukul butter bersama gula hingga sebati. Kemudian masukkan kuning telor dan pukul lagi sehingga rata.
2.     Masukkan nestum, tepung jagung dan juga tepung gandum. Uli sehingga menjadi doh yang lembut dan tak melekat di tangan.
3.     Ambik sedikit doh, isi badam dan bentukan bujur atau bulat..mengikut citarasa sendiri..
4.     Bakar pada suhu 180'C selama 20 minit atau sehingga masak..sejukan.
5.     Masak coklat masakan, masukkan sedikit minyak jagung ( minyak masak biasa pun bolih ) anggaran 2 sudu makan..untuk mengilat kan coklat tu..kaedah double boiler..( dalam periok bawah isi air letak tin atau apa2 untuk lapik bagi meletak periok yang berisi coklat masakan tadi..)
6.    Apabila coklat dah cair sepenuhnya celupkan biskut sebiji - biji.
7.     Isi dalam paper cup dan tabur badam cincang.
8.     Biarkan coklat membeku dahulu pada suhu bilik kemudian masukkan kedalam bekas kedap udara..siap

~~ BISKUT MAZOLA ~~


Bahan-Bahan:
• 1 cawan minyak mazola
• 1 ½ cawan tepung gandum (diayak )
• ½ cawan tepung jagung
• ¾ cawan gula halus
• 1 cawan kacang tumbuk
• 1 sudu teh essen vanilla
• (untuk mendapatkan hasil kacang tumbuk, kacang tanah hendaklah digoreng tanpa minyak dan dibuang kulitnya serta ditumbuk / dikisar.
Bahan Untuk hiasan
• Kuning telur untuk hiasan
• Kacang tumbuk kasar secukupnya

Cara-Cara:
1. Campurkan kesemua bahan di atas kecuali minyak. Kemudian gaulkan hingga sebati
2. Masukkan minyak Mazola sedikit demi sedikit sambil uli adunan hingga menjadi doh. ( masukkan minyak sedikit demi sedikit )
3. Ambil doh sedikit dan bentukkan menjadi bebola kecil.
4. Letakkan doh tadi di atas dulang pembakar. Lakukan sehingga habis adunan.
5. Sapu bahagian atas dengan kuning telur.
6. Taburkan kacang tumbuk kasar pada permukaan atasnya.
7. Kemudian bakar selama 20 minit pada suhu 180°C.
8. Setelah masak angkat dan biarkan sejuk seketika sebelum simpan di dalam bekas kedap udara.

~~ SEMPERIT SUSU ~~
Bahan:
4cwn tepung jagung
1 cwn susu pkt mnis
1 cwn majerin..blh je klu nk cmpur ngn buttercup (more gabu)
ceri merah/hijau  utk hiasan atau choc chips
Caranya:
Campur semua bahan..uli smpai jd doh n terap ikut bentuk ‘bunga’ pilihan..
Bakar pd suhu 150 selama 15-20 minit.siap



 ~~ SEMPERIT ~~

Bahan :
1 cawan butter
1 cawan tepung gandum
3 biji kuning telor yang dah direbus.
1/2 cawan gula icing
1/2 cawan tepung kastard
1/2 cawan tepung jagung
esen vanila
ceri yang dopotong sebagai hiasan (aku guna choc chips)


Cara cara membuat
1. Telor yang dah direbus tadi, amek kuningnye dan hancurkan dalam bekas guna senduk je. Takyah guna mixer.
2. Bila telor dah hancur baru masukkan icing sugar. Gaul hingga sebati.
3. Lepas tu masukkan tepung gandum, tepung kastard, tepung jagung dan esen vanilla. Kacau hingga sebati. Guna tangan uli lebih mudah.
4. Dah sebati adunan tadi, baru masukkan butter. Teruskan gaul hingga sebati.
5. Sekiranya rasa adunan tu terlalu lembik susah utk diuli, masukkan tepung gandum sikit2 dan gaulkan sehingga agak2 adunan tu tak lekat lagi kat hari2. Jangan terlalu keras tau.
6. Boleh la start men"DAHLIA". Pastu letak ceri atas bunga dahlia tu.
7. Bakar pada suhu 150 darjah selama 20 minit. (ni bergantung pd oven memasing ye)



~~ HONEY CORNFLAKES ~~



Bahan-bahan ( lebih kurang 150 paper cup )
·         3 sb butter
·         3 sb gula merah
·         3 sb madu
·         1 sb golden syrup ~ optional
·         4 cawan cornflakes
·         Kekacang secukupnya (walnut,almond,peanut)
·         1 sb kismis (tak letak...pasal bahan lain dah cukup manis)
Cara-cara
1.    Kesemua kekacang di sangrai/bakar secara berasingan kemudian ditumbuk/blend kasar.Ketepikan.
2.    Masukkan butter,gula merah,madu dan golden syrup ke dalam periuk.Kacau sekejap je sekadar untuk sebatikan bahan2 tersebut.Pastikan api kecil sahaja dan tidak terlalu lama supaya butter tidak pecah minyak.
3.    Apabila semua adunan sudah sebati,tutup api dan terus kacau sehingga likat dan suam-suam kuku.
4.    Masukkan cornflakes ke dalam mangkuk besar.Curah (3) ke atasnya dan gaul sekata.Patah-patahkan sedikit~ala-ala manja~kepingan cornflakes tersebut (jgn ramas/hancurkan ia)
5.    Taburkan (1) ke dalam (4) dan gaul sekata.Jika mahukan kismis..Boleh masukkan juga.
6.    Sudukan ke dalam paper cup.Susun di dalam dulang pembakar dan bakar lebih kurang 2~3 min.Sejukkan di atas redai dan bolehlah di simpan di dalam bekas kedap udara.

~~ KUAH KACANG ~~

Bahan bahannya..

2 kg kacang tanah
digoreng tanpa minyak..dan di mesin..
jangan halus sangat..

1. 10 batang serai
2. 3 buku lengkuas muda sebesar ibu jari
3. 1 labu bawang putih
4. 25 biji bawang merah
5 100 gm cili kering

bahan 1 hingga 5 dikisar halus.

1 sudu kecil serbuk jintan manis
1 sudu kecil serbuk jintan putih

kalau tak ada yang serbuk..kena tumbuk bagi halus..

Gula( tambah sikit gula kabung), garam..air asam jawa secukupnya..

Tumis semua bahan2 hingga betul2 masak..masukkan air asam jawa..dah mendidih..masukkan kacang tanah, gula dan garam secukup rasa..biarkan masak secukupnya..

~~  RENDANG DAGING ~~

1 kilo Daging lembu
1 biji kelapa – diambil santannya
daun limau purut ( di hiris )@ daun kunyit ( dihiris ) ( boleh gak nak masukkan kedua2nya )
1 – 2 keping asam gelugur@ 1/2 cawan air asam jawa
garam secukup rasa
gula secukup rasa
serbuk perasa
2 sudu besar kerisik (  tak letak – sebab tak ada )
Bahan kisar
10 biji cili kering di rendam dan dibuang biji
2 biji bawang besar
4 biji bawang putih
1 inci halia
1 inci lengkuas
4-5 batang serai
1 sudu makan biji ketumbar
1 sudu teh jintan halus
1 sudu teh jintan kasar

Cara penyediaan
1. Tumis bahan kisar hingga berbau harum. kemudian masukkan daging masak hingga daging kecut.
2. Masukkan santan masak hingga daging lembut. Jika daging belum cukup lembut masukkan sedikit air lagi dan masak lagi sehingga daging lembut.
3. Masukkan asam gelugur, gula, garam dan serbuk perasa. Last sekali masukkan kerisik, daun kunyit  atau daun limau purut yg telah dihiris.
4. Bila sesuai kepekatannya bolehlah diangkat dan dihidangkan.
** Satu lagi cara masak rendang ialah satukan bahan kisar, santan dan daging  kedalam kuali. Reneh dan masak hingga daging empuk dan sehingga santan  mengeluarkan minyak. Kemudian masukkan air asam jawa@asam gelugur, gula,garam, perasa, kerisik dan daun kunyit atau daun limau purut. sesuaikan rasa… bolehlah diangkat!!!!

~~ NASI IMPIT HOMEMADE ~~
Resepi: kak yatie
Bahan-bahan 
  • 2 cawan beras biasa
  • 10 cawan air
  • 2 sudu kecil garam
Cara-cara
  1. Basuh beras dan masukkan air,garam ke dalam periuk utk dimasak.
  2. Setelah nasi mula kering,kacau sentiasa sambil di lenyek supaya hancur.
  3. Gunakan api perlahan dan bila kering terus kacau lagi.
  4. Setiap 10 minit mestilah di kacau sebati sehinggalah nasi kering. Masak nasi impit ni kena banyak kali di kacau supaya nasi cantik dan lembut.
  5. Setelah siap, matikan api dapur.
  6. Lenyek-lenyekkan nasi dengan menggunakan anak lesung batu@belakang botol yg bersih sehingga nasi lembut. Gaul dan lenyek2 lagi.
  7. Sapukan sedikit minyak di sekeliling tupperware @ mangkuk.
  8. Masukkan nasi tadi ke dalam mangkuk dan ratakan, ambil sehelai plastik bersih dan sapukan sedikit minyak.
  9. Tekan-tekankan nasi supaya mampat dengan menggunakan plastik tadi (letak sapu tangan dlm plastik tu supaya tak rasa panas sngt masa menekan nasi tu).
  10. Biarkan nasi impit betul2 sejuk lebih kurang 4-5 jam sebelum dipotong.
